Short Description:

This application will provide a platform for posting academic jobs and ease the process of searching for the academic job postings. Typically, during a job search period, people visit many job posting web sites and subscribe to email alerts to look for appropriate job postings. SmartJobs@Academia application will make this process easier for both sides, i.e., job searchers and posters.

SmartJobs@Academia application will have four main parts: i) job posting site for employers and institutions, ii) job searching site for employees and students, iii) newsletter for subscribed users, and iv) recommendation system for the users. Therefore, the system can be divided into two sub-projects and it is appropriate for cmpe 491 and 492.

Scope: job posting site for employers and institutions + job searching site for employees and students + data collection from other job posting web systems
