Prof. Cem Say (Boğaziçi University, Department of Computer Engineering) has collaborated with Bahadır Yıldız and Sedat Yalçın, who are teachers in Hisar Schools on a newly published AI textbook in Turkish. The book, titled "Yapay Zekâya Giriş", ("Introduction to Artificial Intelligence") targets everyone with high-school-level education who is interested in artificial intelligence. The authors aim to introduce the field to a wide audience using a modern approach. The book covers the connections of artificial intelligence concepts with the human mind, the various techniques used in AI, and modern applications. The course provides a definition and use cases of AI, as well as a solid foundation for grasping the mathematical and biological frameworks underlying the concepts of state space search, machine learning, and evolutionary programming, enabling the student to apply these techniques to important tasks such as data science and natural language processing.
