Hamed Pirsiavash, PhD., gave a speech on “Learning with limited labels for visual recognition” at CMPE on July 10. Dr Pirsiavash is an associate professor at the University of California, Davis. Before this, he was an associate professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a postdoctoral research associate at MIT. He obtained his PhD at the University of California Irvine. He does research in the intersection of computer vision and machine learning. More specifically, he is interested in self-supervised representation learning and the adversarial robustness of deep models.
