All three CMPE student teams managed to get into the first four at the Online Programming Contest, a national competitive programming contest organized by inzva.
Kod Yazmalım—formed by students Eren Altunoğlu, Harun Sami Çelik, Yunus Emre İnci—ranked the 4th among 39 teams from 15 different universities. The team of Yasin Kaya, Murat Ekici, and Ekrem Bal, which is called cpu_goes_brrrrrr, received the 3rd place, and the students Kayacan Vesek, Cahid Enes Keleş, and Atakan Yaşar ranked the 1st with their team Binary Hoşaf Tree.
The qualification round was on December 11, 2020, where 15 teams from Boğaziçi University competed with over 100 teams from Turkey. Multiple teams performed well, however, the only top three teams from each university qualified for the final round.
